Governor Robert Black officially opened the new terminal building of Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport at the end of the new runway built on reclaimed land and completed in 1958. The last flight out of Kai Tak Airport was CX251, 40 years later on 6 July 1998. Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport was the international airport of Hong Kong for 73 years from 1925 to 1998.
